Phelim Halligan is a 3rd Dan Black Belt in kickboxing. Phelim started boxing in 1990 and kickboxing in 2006. He has won Mayo, Connacht, Irish, 5-Nations and World titles. He also won the 2017 Mayo Sports Star award for his achievements in boxing and kickboxing.

Phelim holds a FETAC LEVEL 5 in Sports & Recreation and a level 6 advanced certificate in Sports Development. He also is a certified professional martial arts instructor and is a certified IABA boxing coach, certified first aided and DLP, he is fully garda vetted for boxing and kickboxing.

Phelim is the head coach of Claremorris Ultimate Boxing & Kickboxing Club in Mayo which is a voluntary run club and is 100% non profit. He has coached national and world champions. His club continues to grow from strength to strength.
