Pete Foley is an 8th Dan Black in Kickboxing and a 5th Dan Black Belt in Freestyle Karate.
He is Internationally recognized as one of Europe’s Leading Instructors and is a former Irish, British & International Champion.
Pete started his Martial Arts career in 1975 and he has trained in Judo, Karate, Lau Gar Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Jiu Jitsu, Oriental Weapony, Kickboxing, Boxing & Thai Boxing.
He is also certified as an IABA Boxing Coach, Personal Trainer, Gym Instructor, Kettlebells Instructor, First Aider, Childrens Code Of Ethics with the Irish Sports Council, Children First with Tusla and is Fully Garda Vetted.
Pete is the Chief Instructor for Black Dragon Kickboxing in Ireland since early 1986 and is currently the President of IKF Ireland.
He introduced the sport of Kickboxing to Galway in March 1996 and has won the IKF Ireland National Coach of the year award in 2013, the IKF National Promoter of the year award in 2014 and he was also voted as Galway Bay FM overall Sports Coach of the year in 2014, defeating such mainstream sports as Hurling, Football, Soccer, Rugby, Golf, Basketball etc.
Having trained over twenty World Champions, several European and countless National Champions (Amatuer & Professional) he runs one of the most successful clubs in the country.
Pete is ably assisted by his wife Clodagh in the running of the Gym - Clodagh is a 5th Dan Black Belt Master Instructor and a former All Ireland & European Kickboxing Champion and is one of the highest ranking female coaches in Ireland.
